So, the reazon I’ve put those two donate buttons on my page is that I really want to help this huge, huge friend, who’s almost my brother - in fact, he is my brother, except for the genetic means…
To protect his identity, I’m not saying his name on this page, but he is a female to male transexual - a condition which, we all know, is extremely hard to deal with and, as if it isn’t hard enough to be born in the wrong body, it requires money, so that you can change your body so it suits your gender, mind and personality. What is more, it is required psychological tests so you can fix your ID and document papers.
Here in Brazil, the government health system allows you to do the mastectomy for free after a proper report from the psychologist or psychiatrist - but, as you may have already heard of, health services which are controlled by the government do no work in here. If my friend take his report to the government hospital, he will have to wait about two to five years in a line so he can finally get his surgery, with a doctor with arguable competences and questionable skills.
What most people do in here when they need expensive health treatments is to get a bank loan instead of submiting themselves to the government health service. Probably, that’s what this friend of mine will end up doing, and, by making those buttons I’m trying to help him so he can ask for the minimun amount as possible!…
